Create your own bootable USB pen drive in 3 steps.

To begin with you will need a PC with a CD/DVD ROM drive, the Windows CD/DVD, and a 2GB pen drive if you are creating a Windows XP bootable USB or a 4GB pen drive if the requirement is for Windows Vista/Windows 7.
To start with, download and extract the program “WinToFlash”.
Once extracted execute the file called “WinToFlash” and follow these simple steps.

Click the 'Windows Setup transfer wizard' and then select 'Next'
Here you will need to define the two paths where the 'Windows File Path' points to the location of the Windows installation disk and the 'USB Drive' specifies the location of your pen drive.Click on 'Select' and choose an appropriate path for both.Accept the 'Windows License Agreement' and click on continue.
Here you will get a warning about that your pendrive is going to be formatted.Click 'OK' to proceed on.

That's all You have created your bootable USB pendrive and to access it you need to change the BIOS settings and you have to change the boot priority to Removable Disk

Many hardware manufacturers still offer only large all-in-one programs for installing sound
or graphics cards drivers that also install some applications that you don't need. You want to
update only one driver. More installers first unzip their contents to
a temporary folder and then follow the remaining steps. You can manipulate the process here.

Start the setup and wait till the welcome dialog appears, but don't click 'Next' when prompted.
Under XP, open Windows Explorer, enter “%userprofile%” in the address bar and press [Enter]. Navigate to the hidden folder “Local Settings\Temp”.
Click “View | Details” and look for a folder with the “.TMP” extension, which shows the current time in the “Modified on” column. You will find the unzipped files here.

You can use Vista task manager; open it with [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Del]. Look for the installation which has started in the “Applications” tab.
Right-click it and select 'Go to process'.
The task manager now selects the relevant entry in the next tab.
Right-click this process and select the “Open
file path” context command. Windows Explorer
opens the temporary folder.
Then just browse through the files for the installer file you need.

Reconstructing your deleted bookmarks
Your favorite sites are quickly accessible through your "Most frequently visited" folder on the Bookmarks toolbar. However, you accidentally deleted or overwrote this while backing up your computer.
There is unfortunately no menu option to undelete the folder. This is because your bookmark
library is actually a small database and you have to define a database query for that. To solve the problem here is a simple sloution------------

Right-click on the bookmark symbol bar and select 'New bookmark' in the context command.
Enter 'Most frequently visited websites' as the “Name”. The query you have to enter in the “Address” field is important. There, type “place:queryType=0&sort 8&maxResults=20” for example.
Confirm the dialog by clicking “Add".

The individual parameters work as follows: you state that the results must be pulled from the
browser history with “queryType=0”; sort them in decreasing order of visit frequency with “sort=8”;
and limit the number of displayed results with “maxResults=20”.

The hack below forces Aero on your PC so that you can enjoy the beauty of transparency. Before proceeding make sure you backup your registry

1. Click on the Start Menu and type “regedit” into the search box, click to open the regedit.exe icon when the program appears in the search results.

2. Locate the following Key HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsDWM

3. In the pane to the right of the key hierarchy, right-click on the white space and select New > DWORD (32 bit) Value.

4. When the value appears name it UseMachineCheck.

5. Repeat and create two more DWORD Values, Blur and Animations

6. Double-click the value you just created (UseMachineCheck) and enter 0 in the Value Data box. Do the same for Values Blur and Animations. Click OK.

7. Close the Registry Editor.

8. Click on the Start Menu and type “cmd” into the search box, right-click on cmd.exe when the program appears in the search results, select Run as Administrator from the drop-down.

9. When the Command Prompt opens type the following commands.

A. Net Stop uxsms – this command will stop the Desktop Windows Manager Session Manager

B. Net Start uxsms– this command will restart it

10. Once you close the Command Prompt, right click on the desktop and click on Personalize from the menu.

11. In the Personalization window, click on Window Color and Appearance, select Windows Aero from the Color Scheme menu.

This hack would also work on Virtual installations of Windows 7 except VMWare.

This trick shows you how to setup any folder to display its contents as a photo folder. In most cases, you can save your images/photos in a folder different than “My Pictures” (under “My Documents“). Since this folder you choose is just like any other normal folders, its contents displayed as a listing of files. You can temporary change it by just right-click and select “View” >> “Thumbnails“. But if you want to change the folder so that everytime you come back, the folder itself, as well as all its subfolders, display the contents as photo thumbnails.

Right-click on the folder you choose and select “Properties“
Select “Customize” Tab. Then under “Use this folder type as a template“, select “Pictures (best for many files)“
Check on “Also apply this template to all subfolders” to apply the setting to subfoders as well

First you have to make sure that you have logged into an administrative account else you will not be allowed to make changes. Go to “Start | Run” type “control userpasswords2” without the quotes. If you aren’t logged into an administrative account it will ask you to login into one. After you have done that a new window will pop up. Under the “User” tab, you will see a check box saying, “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer”. Uncheck that box. Now if you have multiple user logins, then it will ask you which login you would like to automatically log into. Enter the username and the password if any and click on “OK”. Restart the machine and you will directly reach the desktop.

These are Hidden Files. Look for the most recent files here and probably you will find it.

At times the ‘0x80070052’ error message is displayed when you are trying to copy files to a pen drive. You
are unable to save the data. Strangely, data can still be read from the drive. The good news is that it is most likely that the stick is physically intact if the data on it can be read. The phenomenon described above can have various causes. It is possible that the root directory of the stick contains too many files. This can lead to problems if it has been formatted with the FAT file system. The first step is to delete objects or move them into a sub-folder. Better still, reformat the memory stick with the FAT32 file system. To do this, back up all your data on to your hard disk. Then, right-click the pen drive's entry in Windows Explorer and select the ‘Format’ from the context menu. Here, change the setting to ‘FAT32’ under ‘File system’, leave the
other options as they are, and click on ‘Start’. Confirm the warning that follows with ‘OK’. FAT32 can be read and written to by most operating systems without any problem. This is practical even when exchanging data with computers running Linux or Mac OS.

Installing programs faster using the Explorer restart option

Whenever you install a new program,Windows asks you to restart your system before
allowing you to use it. This tip will help you to save time and prevent a system reboot by actually restarting the Windows Explorer shell and rereading the registry, which is what the program actually needs.
For Windows XP and Vista, this tip describes that the Windows Explorer can be killed using the command
‘tskill /f /im explorer.exe’ via the Command Prompt.
Now restart it by typing ‘explorer.exe’ right after that in the same Command Prompt window.
This makes Windows read the registry all over again, which is a substitute for the usually required restart after any software installation is done.
FOR WINDOWS XP HOME
The command is slightly different — ‘tskill/a explorer’. The file name ending
with ‘.exe’ does not need to be included. Windows Explorer restarts automatically in Windows XP Home without the need to type in the ‘explorer.exe’ command modifier.

Windows denies even administrators access to certain folders, for example “System Volume Information”
containing data of individual restore points. Even worse, a virus could end up in these folders a virus scanner would not be able to find and remove it due to this restriction. As administrator, you have the option of getting the rights you do not have. However, this permanently changes the settings; which is not advisable in most cases. Using the “at” command, Windows automatically starts a program at a predefined time in such a way that it runs with system rights. To do this, you must enter a few parameters in addition to the program name

They are the start time and the “/interactive” option in order to communicate with the program.
Call up the “Run” command in the Start menu and type “at [hh:mm] /interactive [Program name]” and press [Enter]. Replace the time [hh:mm] with the time displayed in the system tray plus one minute.
Click “OK”. Now wait till the minute is over and till the system runs the program with maximum administrator rights. This can be Windows Explorer for instance, which can now open the directories that were previously blocked.

This technique is useful in a situation where, for instance, a virus has taken refuge in the “System Volume Information” folder. For this, you must either have the necessary rights to remove the virus or run the disinfection tool with system rights. Administrators do not even have rights over the entire registry. For
example, Windows saves user accounts and groups in the SAM database under the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SAM” key. You require higher system rights to access this entry.

When physical RAM is completely consumed, Windows data is temporarily shifted to the hard drive. This can greatly slow down the computer, because the hard disk has to work continuously. If it looks like the RAM is going to get full, it’s advisable to split the swap file onto different, newly defragmented hard drives. Windows can write to several hard drives simultaneously and thus accelerate the data transfer process. However, this makes sense only if you use multiple physical disks and not just partitions, since this will force the disk to write to multiple areas, thereby slowing down access.First determine which of your drives are seperate physically and which are just partitions. For this purpose, go to

‘Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Computer management’.
In the tree view structure on the left side of the window, navigate to Storage | Disk Management You will now see the physically divided data drives on the bottom right with their correspondingpartitions and the allocated logical drives.
In addition to the system drive ‘C:’, search for the primary partitions of the other physical drives, note their drive letters and then close the Disk Management window. For configuring the swap file, double click on the ‘System’ icon in the Control Panel and switch to the ‘Advanced’ tab—or click on the ‘Advanced System Settings’ link in Vista.
Click on ‘Settings’ under ‘Performance’. Activate the ‘Advanced’ tab and then under ‘Virtual Memory’, click Change’.
Disable the ‘System managed size’ option, select the desired drive in the dialog box above, and then select Custom size’ and enter the desired value in the two subsequent fields, for example ‘1024’ megabyte each. Equal values for the minimum and maximum limit define a fixed size, making it impossible for the swap file to fragment the partition. Click ‘Set’.Repeat this procedure for other drives.Confirm the setting with ‘OK’.
Restart the system for Windows to apply the settings.

Caution: You cannot create swap files on

external hard disks and memory cards.

Now go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Now in the right pane, create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives (it is case sensitive).
Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal) .
Now restart your computer.
So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown

To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created. Restart your computer. You can now see all the drives again :)

ENSURE XP IS USING DMA MODE

XP enables DMA for Hard-Drives and CD-Roms by default on most ATA or ATAPI (IDE) devices. However, sometimes computers switch to PIO mode which is slower for data transfer - a typical reason is because of a virus. To ensure that your machine is using DMA:

1. Open 'Device Manager'

2. Double-click 'IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers'

3. Right-click 'Primary Channel' and select 'Properties' and then 'Advanced Settings'

4. In the 'Current Transfer Mode' drop-down box, select 'DMA if Available' if the current setting is 'PIO Only'

This tweak works by creating a batch file to clear the temp and history folders everytime you shutdown so that your PC doesn't waste time checking these folders the next time it boots. It's quite simple to implement:

Hide Executable Files In jpeg Or Image File

This tutorial will guide you through the steps to hide the executable files in jpeg format.
Firstly, create a new folder and make sure that the options ’show hidden files and folders’ is checked and ‘hide extensions for known file types’ is unchecked.
Basically what you need is to see hidden files and see the extension of all your files on your pc.

Paste a copy of your server on the new created folder. let’s say it’s called test.exe’ (that’s why you need the extension of files showing, cause you need to see it to change it)

Now you’re going to rename this ‘test.exe’ to whatever you want, let’s say for example ‘test.jpg’

Windows is going to warn you if you really want to change this extension from exe to jpeg, click YES.

Now create a shortcut of this ‘test.jpg’ in the same folder.

Now that you have a shortcut, rename it to whatever you want, for example, ‘file.jpg’.

Go to properties (on file file.jpg) and now you need to do some changes there.

First of all delete all the text on field ‘Start In’ and leave it empty.

Then on field ‘Target’ you need to write the path to open the other file (the server renamed ‘test.jpg’) so you have to write this :-
‘C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c test.jpg’

The last field, ‘c test.jpg’ is always the name of the first file. If you called the first file ‘goal.avi’ you’ll have to write ‘C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c goal.avi’.

So what you’re doing is when someone clicks on ‘file.jpg’, a cmd will execute the other file ‘test.jpg’ and the test.exe will run.

On the file ‘file.jpg’ (shortcut), go to properties and you have an option to change the icon. Click that and a new window will pop up and you have to write this :-
%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll . Choose an icon for the default jpg image, then press OK.

You can set the properties ‘Hidden’ for the first file ‘test.jpg’ if you think it’s better to get a connection from someone.

These 2 files must always be together in the same folder and to get connected to someone they must click on the shortcut created not on the first file.
For example, I would like to click on image1.jpg first rather than image2.jpg. Therefore I’ll rename the shortcut to image1.jpg and the executable file to image2.jpg. This will make me click the shortcut and load the exe file.
Since I’ll be in need of these two files to be together, the best way to send these files together to someone is compress them into Zip or Rar.
